Looking Toward Spring/Summer 2017
Posted on 13 April 2017
It’s mid-April, and the spring collections have been arriving faster than warmer temps. We are still in the beginning planning stages for our collection, but fear not—new products are on their way. As I stated in January, my goal isn’t to overwhelm and urge you to constantly purchase, it’s to fill a gap in your wardrobe with clothing that can be worn to suit your life. This can’t be rushed. Our new collection means more than a flashy release and a few months of wear, to be forgotten when our fall/winter collection arrives later this year. It seems wrong to hastily throw together outfits with the latest trends and hope for the best, when functionality and timelessness is our true drive.
That said, I would love to give you an insight into what is to come. A few fabrics that will most certainly play a role in the new collection are soft linens, grey and white striped cotton, and silk crepe, of course. We plan to incorporate linen pants and robes, and a few signature items will be re-released as well.
I’m looking to incorporate looks that will be useful during the warmer months, versatile in their purpose, and able to be layered during the cooler months. I’ve heard some feedback for what should be included, but I would love to hear more. What are you missing in your wardrobe? What do you look for when you purchase items for warmer months? What fabrics, colors, and silhouettes are you searching for?
